Saturday's hike

We spent our day off on a hike from one cedar grove over to another this last week. We did this hike last fall, and I remember it being much easier (I wasn't pregnant). We took our friends, and it will probably be the last time they go. Their son weighs a lot more then ours. And I have to admit I was just barely making it at the end. Zaky did wonderful most of the way, like his mama, but also like his mama was a bit cranky at the end. Every so often Bill would have to stop let him play in the dirt and grass before he would continue. But in all a good time was had by almost all.

Up and running

Up an running (the internet) After almost a week I am free, Zaky is asleep, the internet is working, and Bill is not on the computer ALL AT THE SAME TIME! As most of you know Aunti Julie was here the previous week, so many pictures will follow. But something else that is up and, not running, but walking, our Big Man! He is definitely walking more then crawling. He has been walking more and more since the beginning of April. During Julie's visit he started walking more then crawling. Fast forward two weeks and I think I only saw him crawl twice today. I would like to say his clothes are cleaner for it, but they are just as dirty, if not more. His love of dirt and sand are going strong.

He also has said his first official words: 1) Dough: which means light, he points up and says it. 2) Bye: he waves and says bye when ever we leave or some one is leaving him. 3) Done: we make him say it when he is done eating before getting him up, many hours of training went into this one, he is a fan of throwing his food on the floor and squirming around when he is done eating, and this just will not do! 4)And today he saw a dog and said dogh (I know this is very close to his light word, BUT it sounded different AND he only learned that word from reading his books (what a proud mama). So we are on our way to a road scholar. Who Ho!

Baby Bump

Alright here is a rare glimpse of the baby bump. I am not real fond of my pictures, especially my pregnant pictures. This shot was from the same birthday party, Zaky is the eldest, the next two two weeks younger, then James two months younger. I went to the Dr. Thursday everything was good. Little Yo looked a little small, but he was also hiding and not taking very good pictures. But definitely a boy. I felt him kick for the first time yesterday. Bill felt him last night, thanks to a late night mill of homemade hot wings, memm!

Happy Birthday Big James

Friday was Big James' first birthday. All Zaky's buddy's were under one roof. He would play then separate himself, play, then separate. We are very blessed that he has so many kids his age so close. During the week he doesn't have that.

Side note: We call him Big James because he is a Big BOY, about four pounds heavier, several centimeters, and two months younger! His Irish granmother who was there calls him Wee James!
