July

The last month was crazy. We postponed our move into the new apartment until Bill's parents were coming. 3 days after they arrived we got to work. We moved up to the 4th floor into a "new" bigger apartment. I say "new" because it is 9 years old and has never been lived in. We are thankful we have stayed in the same building, we kept our same neighbors, and surrounding area with neighbors and shops, we have a breeze and view (this includes the view of the new building behind us where our grass use to be). Aside from plumbing and electrical problems we are very greatfull. I intentionally did not write until we reached the point of contentment. In complete truth we both have struggled a lot to become settled. The move itself was stressfull as all moves are. Jonas came down with fever the day of the move. And through the entire week had fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. We made one trip to 2 hospitals after a night and early morning of vomiting. Thankfully the grandparents were here so there were no additional worries for Zaky. Now that the month has passed and the landlord has become more reasonable we feel more at peace. We prayed a lot before deciding not to move, and knew peace existed in this decision, but now we actually "feel" it.

What a difference a year makes.

Almost a year later, 14 lbs, 10 milestones, hundreds of diapers, many smiles and tears, but still no teeth later...

It happened AGAIN!

We turned on the t.v. and went into the kitchen for Bible study with some friends. In came the smack smack of pitter patter hands and knees. But what was that familiar smell? Diaper cream! Mouth, clothes, hall, carpet, rug, couch, 2 toys. Big brother on the couch saying "Jonas messy." Our friends said we should take a picture, we said we already had some.
