Camp out

Last night we had a camp out.  We slept in our tent and toasted marshmallows on a fire. The boys made it out in the tent the whole night.

First day of school

Zaky's first day was Monday, Jonas' was Wednesday.

Zaky started PS 2. They lined them up with their teacher from last year then called out their name for their new class. A few kids from his PS 1 class are with him. He has made a new friend he said but he doesn't know his name.  He got a lot of stickers in his Arabic class, and nobody was fighting.

Jonas' first day was not so smooth. The head nun for his department has left, and she was wonderful , so I'm a bit disappointed in this.  They had all the parents and kids standing around, and as they called the kids name they were formed into classes.  Apparently they waited to see how many kids they had show up before deciding if they were going to form the fourth class or not. Of coarse I didn't hear Jonas name called so we stood around a bit longer to ask the one lady with the one list which class.  Unfortunately it was class 4, and the class room was not put together, nor was the teacher there.so after an hour of playing the teacher came and Jonas exchanged a good bye for a sweetie. He teacher is nice I know her from last year, madam cosette. But again unfortunate all the waiting around Jonas finished his whole bottle of juice and had to go to the bathroom 3 times and didn't quite make it the second time, but we had a change of clothes

1st rain

May was our last rain, until today. You know in the life of a three year old, this called for investigating.  And to properly investigate you must forgo any quiet time, stick your face into the screen, then put your rain jacket and boots on.  5 minutes later your done investigating..

Ride the Water Tractor

During the summer water comes to our house very irregularly. We store it in a cistern underground.  When we run out we have to call Habib who sells water. Since we have been buying lots water the boys have become friends with Habib and get to ride his tractor. 

Time to make the donuts...

Like her brothers before her

Anna-Lena found the ladder I was using in her room. Like her brothers when they were one year old, she quickly climbed to the top.

Heavy sleeper
