Berry picking!

It's berry time again. But this year the boys are big enough to climb the tree, woo hoo. And the pies were awesome !

Potty training

Potty training third time around (fourth if you count Anna Lena's first failed attempt). You would think woul be easier with all our potty experience and examples running around. But no, little lady, as in many areas of her life, prove to be just the opposite of her brothers. At home she NEVER says potty except when already wet or poop on the ground. But outside the house she is AWESOME! So as in many areas of parenting i am continually humbeled, and put in my appropriate place.

Circus

The circus is in town. Sidon to be exact. We have wanted to go for weeks but because of company or excruciating disobedience we didn't go until this past Sunday. A short term prayer team came at the same time which was great. What is a circus like in Lebanon? Well, the high light for the boys were the motorcycles at the end, mine was the acrobat hanging from the ribbon. The disappointment came from the Tigers that were probably as old as te city itself. The low point was definitely the cat show, yes little house cats given treats to balance on balls. It was a great time.

Clean up

Ugh! Clean up after the storm. The storm of no rain and lots of wind and dirt.

Sand storm

A sand storm blew through the country Wednesday.  We just made it home in time for me to bring the laundry in. In hindsight I would have brought in more. It was suppose to rain the next, but it didn't and we were stuck with a mess.

One wonders about putting a spider man costume on her daughter. But then she yells out "I need a wipe". Come to find out that Barney and baby need a change. She does enjoying saying poop, little raskle.

We made castenyeras again. Great tedious tradition. It was more time consuming without aunt Julie to do all the work this year. Who's been licking the food dye?

Surgery

Little lady did so well. Three hours of pre-op work the day before, four hours of waiting on the day of surgery, then three hours of post surgery sleeping.  Preoperativly her chest X-ray showed fluid on the lung suspicious for pneumonia. After being examined by 3 doctors she was cleared for surgery. We thought. Then the next day we are taken to our room, IV in and quickly taken in chair to OR. But the pediatric resadent decided the chest X-ray was bad and didn't approve the surgery. Did the previous day's doctors chart? Not well. Did this resident come and ask me ANY questions? No! So we then saw another three doctors that all agreed that my non coughing, non febrial, non symptomatic daughter did not have pneumonia. What she did have was an incredible amount of wax and fluid in her ears. She got tubes in both ears and adenoids out. She was a trooper and cried for her MAma until she got back to the room. So after some care she should be speaking, sleeping,  and hearing much better. I am very thankful for our medical access, thank you Jesus.

Windows down on the way to church! I took this picture to show the irony of my morning. I did iron the pretty dress she is wearing and pin her hair back in a bow, but as you can tell from the picture both were pointless.
