Jo Show

Jonas' turn for show! He told me weeks ago that he refused to say a line, but he would do the dance. He danced along side Aya and Jude. After last years PS2 show (which sent me into tremors of culture shock that led to a stern sit down with the nun) this year was great. Bill hated these things and the culture differences coming head on. Zaky's was good, Jonas' was an actual show. His class has been the pompier (fireman) all year so in the show they are dressed in little red suspenders and tossing around the bucket, very cutie.

Not sure what to call this

I call it potty training success. Others might call it something else. And then after all judgement is passed, can I also add that she wanted to put her's up on the wall with her brothers😝

Elsa and Anna

Queen Elsa and Princess Anna! Right here in person on our couch! Well in reality Elsa is only 2 months old, not yet ready for coronation day. And Anna is crying because she has to go to school. A brother from the church in Aleppo Syria and his wife and daughter spent the weekend with us. Queen Elsa slept most of the time.

The strong willed child

After a really bad week of behavior, I desperately sought out ideas. I looked up discipline charts on Pinterest. Vowing this time to make something work ( because I am not a chart person). So Sunday we implemented the 'I did it chart' and the 'bad choice' jar. After the kids were asleep I was commenting to Bill that I think Zaky was responding well to the rewards and alternative punishments (make him do something) and he is a do'er. As the words were coming out of my mouth I stuck my hand in the jar, and pulled out nothing. Yes little man had hidden all the pieces of paper with the punishments! But I am happy to report, although no pop cycles were earned Monday. We do have improvement.

Beautiful day off

Today is May 1st, Lebanese Labor Day. Three day weekend, 76 degrees outside, and all three kids and me are sick😞
