Zaky's field trip

River

(No one got sick in the making of this post) early yet in the season for the river. It was empty, just the way we like it. Had a wonderful time playing in the mud, meal, and then more mud. Wonderful meal to celebrate some guys who have worked hard in our first training for locals. 

River Study

We went down to the river with the interns Bill has been working with the past 3 months for a final farewell meal. On a Thursday though. Thankfully these guys are native Arabic speakers and willing little boy tutors!

Best brother award

Anna Lena went to the book fair last week. By book fair I mean the 'Chinese crap sale without books'. I imagine there are books there, but I have never seen one purchased. So we gave Anna Lena about 3$ and told her and her teacher she is only allowed to buy a book. Well the teacher has 17 kids and Anna Lena choose what she wanted; hello kitty coloring book and stickers. Bill upon picking her up immediately took them away. A HUGE fit followed. To calm her down Jonas made her a hello kitty coloring book❤️💕

The next day Jonas was telling her she had to color it, the picture of hello kitty and the butterfly. Anna Lena says "I don't see a butterfly", Jonas "alright well I did my best" sweet boy!

Big brothers, willing little sister

Jonas Big Rahlea

Rahlea- field trip. With technology: his teacher made a group on What's app with all the moms and is updating everyone every few hours with pictures! Because of the rain they didn't get to go to the rides, but the good sandwich and bus without parents made for a good time.

Wedding party

Wedding day of a daughter of a good friend. Not much of a party on the ladies end (men and women were separated and no pictures of the ladies allowed). The men had very energetic dancing. Jonas highlite: the cans of juice on the table. Jonas "mamma they were free, I drank four of them". He wanted to bring me and Anna Lena two cans, bill informed him we had some up stairs Jo"Alright then I'm going to drink these too".  Anna Lena's high light: using Gramma Bowers curling iron.

Back to the beach

Our official first swim at the beach visit of the season. The kids swam of course despite the water being cold (about the temp of the Jersey shore in July) then a quick dash to lay in the hot sand to warm up.
