For some strange reason my son loves tags. Any toy, article of clothing, cushion, he seeks out the tag. He does not suck his thumb, finger, pacifier. But he loves to suck on tags.

The "Boys"
We may live far away, but no distance is to great to keep my little man from celebrating an important event in the Ludlow family. What event you may ask? But the beginning of football season of course! And my name may have changed after getting married but my allegiance will never. So following in the foot steps of his cousins, great uncles, and great grandfather before him we welcome into the world another generation of Cowboys fans.

The Big Eater
Finally I am posting some shots of our big eater. He loves to eat, salty, sweet, whatever. With the exception of peas! He sits with us at meal times and loves it. We have not tried finger foods yet, but he has most definitely figured out the spoon. Now if we can just figure out what to do about constipation, any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

The Auntie

Aunts are: wonderful things. They love us, they hang out with us, they give us wonderful treats that our parents would not buy for us, they tell it like it is, and if that were not enough they know all the embarrassing stories about our parents that they themselves would not tell us. In my life I have be blessed four times over with some of the most wonderful ladies as aunts. And now I can say Zaky is equally blessed by all his aunties, and especially by his most recent admirer. But this Aunt will never be allowed to give him a hair cut! (not to name any names Aunt Lisa!)

The Sad Day
.jpg)
.jpg)
We are SAD today! Today we saw Aunt Julie off to the airport. We had a wonderful visit. Zaky was spoiled by his Aunt, while I thoroughly enjoyed her being here. We had to double check to make sure he was in his car seat as we pulled away from the airport, just to make sure she did not carry through with her scheme to pack him away in her suit case. Pictures of this week will come soon. But the highlights: a quick trip to the winery, short hike through the cedars, and as Zaky started crying when being held by the neighbors stopped when taken by his Auntie! (Awww)

The Beach story
Ok it is not a tough life we live when we can drive 45 min to the beach on our day off. But last week will be the LAST time this summer we go on a Sunday. We went with friends and had a wonderful swim, the water was warm, Zaky had a good time, good lunch. Then around 2pm we decided to leave, the boys needed their nap. 3:18 we left the parking lot. This being the sometime backward country it is, people pulled into the parking area and seeing it was full, just parked were they were! And the one lane road that leads into the parking area, well of course if the parking area is full you park your car on the road leading into the area! It is a discouraging site when the car blocking you in, the driver gets out of the car and locks the door! And as I try to yell at him in my broken Arabic I notice the 5 cars blocking him in! Woof!!! We all managed to survive, without getting beat up! Or more me beating anyone up! Moral of the story: BECAREFUL WHERE YOU PARK in backwards countries, and be ready to tell 10 men to push the car out of the way!

August
I'm not complaining, but It is hot here. Not as hot as Texas, but without electricity it is getting a little tiresome. We enjoy a nice breeze through our house, and we take frequent showers. Zaky is getting use to me wetting his head. We are having many good days. Our little man has learned some new skills: crying when he wants something, using his feet to play with his toys, playing with toys while sitting up, to name just a few. In June we bought a little cedar for our little man, now we can watch them grow together!
